Originally from North Portland, Oregon, Eileen Newton has called Tacoma home for over 35 years. After 28 years of teaching, she’s entering retirement and looking forward to new adventures with her free time. Eileen loves the beauty of the Salish Sea that surrounds Tacoma, the welcoming presence of the Puyallup Tribe, and the city’s strong commitment to justice. Tacoma’s unique character and sense of community have made it a place she’s proud to call home.
