Originally from Vallejo, CA, Maila Cervania has lived in Tacoma for over 20 years, with 13 years in South Tacoma and 7 years in Central Tacoma. She loves the city so much that she could easily imagine staying here for the rest of her life. By day, Maila works as a prepress artist at a label manufacturing plant, but her true passion lies in her freelance illustration work. She dreams of transitioning to working full-time from home so she can spend more time with her dogs. Maila is especially fond of Tacoma’s small cafes and restaurants, and one of her favorite things to do is enjoy a treat and drink with her sister, exploring new spots in downtown Tacoma.
