You have the chance to experience some of the most iconic soundtracks in an exciting and innovative way at The Phil Collins Story, coming to the Event Center at the Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma on Thursday, September 17. Through stunning visuals, dynamic projections, and a live band, this docu-concert will celebrate the life, career, and music of Academy Award-, Grammy-, and Golden Globe-winning songwriter and performer Phil Collins. Produced by Paquin Exhibitions and Theatrical, the show is stopping in Tacoma as part of its 55-city North American tour. The show runs two hours long plus an intermission, and there are no age restrictions.
Although Collins himself is not part of the live cast, the concert will bring his musical catalog to life on stage, beginning with his time with prog rock band Genesis and following throughout his solo work. The Phil Collins Story uses powerful visuals, immersive storytelling, world-class musicianship, and state-of-the-art production to showcase his music in a new and immersive way that gives the audience an up-close-and-personal experience.
The band will share Collins’s songs in chronological order and keep every song true to its original sound and length. Between songs, there will also be bits of information projected that share more about Collins’s life.
The project was staged and developed by Dean Elliott. He’s also the creator of global hits The Simon & Garfunkel Story, R.E.S.P.E.C.T. – The Aretha Franklin Story, and The Life and Music of George Michael.

His music has an immediacy and emotional honesty that continues to resonate across cultures and age groups. As a director, my goal is always to respect the legacy while creating something that feels vibrant and relevant today, and I couldn’t be more excited to help bring Phil’s remarkable body of work to our audiences.”
Seth Eliser and Joey Chance are the lead vocalists of Paquin Exhibitions and Theatrical. Eliser is a multi-instrumentalist and performer originally from St. Amant, Louisiana. He earned his bachelor of fine arts degree in music theater from the Hartt School of Music and then moved to New York City in pursuit of a musical theater career.
Eliser’s spent the last year performing off-Broadway in the original companies of Beau: The Musical and The Jonathan Larson Project. He has experience touring nationally and internationally specializing in theater performances and musical acts, with touring credits including The Lightning Thief, The Music Man, and Disney on Classic, the last as a featured vocal soloist with the Orchestra of Japan. As an instrumentalist, he’s been featured on Album by Joe Iconis and Rob Rokicki’s Minstersongs, and he’s collaborated with the indie/pop group Manicanparty. Eliser said he is personally “obsessed” with Collins’s music and he’s happy to be supporting an “iconic legend.”
“We feel like we’ve captured the essence of what he’s saying in his songs, and what the musical instruments are doing,” Eliser said.
Chance is a lead vocalist for select performances and is a multi-instrumentalist, writer, and actor from Austin, Texas. He has a bachelor of arts degree in communications from Texas State University and is a graduate of the Fallout Theater’s school of improv and Richard Robichaux’s acting studio. Chance is also a drummer for Daybed, a post-punk trio out of Austin, and he has a solo act debuting its first LP later this year under the name Peli.
The music director of the production is Sachio Nang, and the band comprises him as well as Jimmy Kowalczyk, Miles Ahlstrom, and Peter Michaels Jr. The band members encourage the audience to get involved by clapping and dancing in the aisles.
“I don’t want to speak for everyone, but it feels like it’s special for everyone involved,” Eliser said. “We cannot wait to get the band back together and hit the road again and share this with audiences around the country.”
